Our N/ATION Review:
Formerly known as Tinley Beverage Company, Beckett’s Non-Alcoholic Cocktails & Spirits is a Los Angeles-based producer of bottled NA spirits, as well as a growing variety of canned RTD cocktails without the booze. Building off the initial success of the Stone Daisy Lime Margarita, Beckett’s now offers their sparkling margarita series in four flavors (the aforementioned lime, plus strawberry, mango, and pineapple), all of which are a low-calorie, guilt-free way to enjoy the classic, festive drink without the compromise.
Our tasting notes for each of their takes on this classic cocktail:
Stone Daisy Lime
The original and flagship flavor, this one is a straightforward take on the leaded original, just with bubbles. It's got ample lime and a fresh sweetness derived from Stevia, balanced by a subtle salty end. While you may not get that "tequila" burn on the finish, this one is a clean, refreshing hit that is easy to crush on a hot day, and won’t burn you the following morning.
Stone Daisy Strawberry
The Stone Daisy Strawberry initially leans into an almost candy-like sweetness, reminiscent of those classic strawberry candies in the green wrappers, which comes through on the nose. After the initial sip it does calm down for the finish, and, while we’d still consider this flavor profile to be somewhere on the sweeter side, like its brethren it’s still just 35 calories per can.
Stone Daisy Mango
Another solid flavored expression, this one is a bit earthier, with a flavor that really does evoke tropical flavors of a ripe mango. Whereas the sweetness on the Strawberry comes earlier, on the Mango it hits a little later. If you don’t mind a bit of cloying on the finish, there is also a touch of lingering spice to help round it out and give it some depth.
Stone Daisy Pineapple
This drink starts with a spicy kick before being tamed by the sweetness of pineapple. The effervescence and tropical fruit has an alcohol-adjacent warmth on the back end that feels familiar, without being too aggressive. Possibly a little less sweet than its counterparts, this might be the flavor go-to for those looking for something more balanced.
As for where you can find the Beckett’s Stone Daisy margarita series, your best bet may be finding it in a Total Wine & More store near you. Or, you can buy online from their e-commerce store.
