Coming on the scene in late 2024, Tripleswitch Brewing was an early player in the first wave of non-alcoholic brewers to introduce a THC-infused, beer-like product. After gathering initial feedback from consumers and taking stock of a now more-crowded product field, the brand leveled up their game with the release of Tripleswitch Cloud Nine, an evolution of their original Hazy IPA, along with three other new flavors; Uno Mas (Mexican Lager), Firefly (American Amber), and Velvet Echo (Modern Stout). Still based in Charlotte, North Carolina, Cloud Nine currently features a 10mg THC / 10mg CBD combo for an ‘entourage’ effect.

The updated Cloud Nine hits the glass with noticeably more hazy golden, "juicy" characteristics than its predecessor, yet still in a classic New England style. On the palate, the previous malty sweetness has been dialed back in favor of bright citrus zest. It finishes with an earthy, light hoppy bite that better masks the hemp emulsion than the original. Notably, the brand has chosen to make its IPA and Stout options at a heavier THC/CBD dosage (10mg), while its two lighter styles (Mexican Lager, American Amber) are at 5mg each, mimicking the typically-higher ABVs of the former while still being reasonably “sessionable.”
